2017 Mission Video #1: New England
Sovereign Grace is a family of churches that exists to advance the gospel of Jesus Christ by planting and strengthening churches for the glory of God. One expression of our mission can be found in the churches we have planted in the New England region of the U.S.: Crossway Church in Franklin, MA (2001), King of Grace Church in Haverhill, MA (2002), King’s Cross Church in Manchester, NH (2016), and Trinity Church in East Cambridge, MA (2016). Each of these churches have found their home in unique New England communities for the purpose of reaching the lost with the gospel.
Our first quarter mission video is about the gospel work we have been doing, and continue to do in New England. I'm eager for you to hear from the men who lead our churches in New England because their hearts for this area of the world is contagious. You will also hear their faith for the future, and their appreciation for you, those who are in partnership through Sovereign Grace Churches, supporting their ministry work. You will hear their gratitude for those who give to Sovereign Grace, making it financially possible to plant these churches and reach the lost. Without your giving, we would not have four churches in New England.
So, please watch and listen how God is at work. And pray. Pray for these men, their wives and their families. Pray for these churches. And pray for those who are lost in New England. Ephesians 3:20-21 says, “Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we could ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen” (ESV). May God do more than we could think to ask, for His glory alone.
Mark Prater is the Executive Director for Sovereign Grace and serves as an elder at Covenant Fellowship Church. He and his wife, Jill, have three married daughters and a growing number of grandchildren.
