Since its ratification in November of 2020, it’s been inspiring to see pastors throughout Sovereign Grace utilizing our new Statement of Faith in the instruction and edification of the people in their churches. Surely there is nothing more important in a pastor’s labor than instructing his people in the truths of God’s Word and the gospel to which it testifies.
This catechism was written to strengthen those efforts, pressing the whole counsel of God more deeply into every corner of our churches. It’s our hope that the panorama of truth introduced by these questions and answers will accomplish what sound doctrine is meant to do: to nurture our relationship with God, inform and deepen our convictions, equip us with discernment, and guide our living for God’s glory – all grounded in the gospel of Jesus Christ.
